This beautiful, dark-leaved, creeping evergreen has prickly stems that root where they touch the ground to form a dense carpet. Initially from the mountains of Taiwan, this handsome plant adds wonderful texture to the landscape. It is an excellent ground cover for areas with dry, poor soils and is extremely drought tolerant. This is also a nice trailing plant to spill out of containers and hanging baskets.
In the winter the older leaves get lovely burgundy edges, don't worry this is its dormant stage and it will bust out with fresh green leaves in the spring. :)
Also known as "Crinkle-leaf Creeper", "Taiwanese Creeping Rubus", and "Creeping Bramble".
