Aptly named, this nest of a fern is stunning.

The birdsnest fern plant gets its name because the center of the plant resembles a bird’s nest. Birdsnest ferns are identified by their flat, crinkly or wavy fronds.  It is an epiphytic fern, which means in the wild it typically grows on other things, like tree trunks or buildings. It is also sometimes called a crow’s nest fern.

The birdsnest fern makes one fab houseplant. it is great pared with other ferns and plants that like consistently moist soil. Always a show stopper.
