More About Geranium ‘Savannah® White’
Savannah® White offers crisp, pure white flower clusters that bring brightness and balance to garden designs. The clean coloration pairs effortlessly with both bold and pastel plant palettes, making it an ideal companion in mixed containers and landscape beds. Its blooms sit neatly above rich green foliage, maintaining a polished appearance throughout the season.
Like the rest of the Savannah® series, this variety is bred for uniformity and durability. The compact, well-branched habit holds its shape without stretching, even during periods of heat. Savannah® White performs reliably from late spring through fall with minimal maintenance.
Why We Like It (Our Trials)
In our trials, Savannah® White consistently delivered uniform growth and dependable flower coverage, even during prolonged heat and humidity. The plants held a tight, well-branched structure without stretching, splitting, or thinning in the center—an issue we often see with white geraniums later in the season. Flower heads remained upright and evenly distributed across the canopy, giving the plant a clean, intentional look from early summer through peak heat.
What stood out most was how well the white blooms held their clarity. Unlike many white varieties that yellow, spot, or fade under stress, Savannah® White stayed bright and crisp with minimal petal breakdown. We especially like it for gardeners and designers who need a reliable neutral that plays well with bold colors while still performing as a standalone plant. Its balance of structure, heat tolerance, and season-long polish makes it a true workhorse in containers, borders, and large-scale plantings.
Savannah® White vs. Other Geraniums
Savannah® White is the most versatile and balancing variety in the Savannah® Series, acting as a visual anchor in both containers and landscape plantings. Its crisp, pure white blooms bring clarity and brightness without overwhelming surrounding colors, and the plant’s uniform habit keeps it looking polished even when paired with more expressive varieties. It’s the quiet stabilizer of the series, offering consistency and restraint.
Compared to Savannah® Really Red and Oh So Orange, White plays a supporting role rather than a focal one, allowing stronger colors to shine. Next to Savannah® Blue, it enhances cool tones, creating a refined, calming palette. When planted with Savannah® Light Salmon, White sharpens the softness of the salmon hue, while Lavender Splash gains contrast and definition against White’s clean backdrop. Gardeners rely on it as a dependable neutral that elevates every color around it.
