More About Thunbergia ‘TowerPower® Apricot’
Thunbergia ‘TowerPower® Apricot’ delivers warm, glowing apricot-colored flowers accented by a rich, dark eye that adds depth and contrast. The blooms appear steadily throughout the growing season, creating a soft yet vibrant display that stands out beautifully against lush green foliage.
Part of the TowerPower® series, this variety was bred for strong climbing ability, vigorous growth, and reliable flowering. Its twining habit makes it ideal for quickly covering vertical structures, while still performing well in large containers where it can trail and spill with ease.
Why We Like It (Our Trials)
In our trials, ‘TowerPower® Apricot’ has shown excellent vigor and consistency, especially in hot summer conditions. It establishes quickly, climbs aggressively once supported, and continues blooming without pause through heat and humidity.
We especially like the color. The apricot tones are softer and more refined than traditional orange or yellow Thunbergia, making it easy to pair with both bold and pastel plant palettes. It adds height, movement, and seasonal interest with very little maintenance.
‘TowerPower® Apricot’ vs. Other Thunbergia
Compared to standard Black-Eyed Susan vines, the TowerPower® series offers stronger climbing performance, improved branching, and more uniform flowering. ‘Apricot’ stands out for its unique warm coloration and dependable vertical growth.
For gardeners looking for a fast-growing, heat-loving annual vine that brings elegant color and dramatic height to summer gardens, Thunbergia ‘TowerPower® Apricot’ is an excellent choice.
