More About Verbena ‘Lanai® White’
Verbena ‘Lanai® White’ produces clean, bright white flower clusters that bring clarity and contrast to container plantings. The neutral color pairs effortlessly with bold hues, pastels, and foliage plants, making it one of the most versatile options in the Lanai® series.
As part of the Lanai® series, this variety was bred for compact growth and dependable container performance. Plants remain well-branched and balanced, delivering steady blooms without stretching or crowding companion plants.
Why We Like It (Our Trials)
In trials, ‘Lanai® White’ stood out for its uniform habit and consistent flowering through summer heat. It filled containers evenly, held its shape, and stayed fresh-looking with minimal maintenance.
We especially like it as a “design anchor” plant. The white blooms brighten mixed containers, soften bold color combinations, and keep plantings looking clean and intentional all season.
Lanai® White vs. Other Varieties
Lanai® White serves as the design stabilizer of the series, valued for its clean color and balancing effect in mixed containers. It is known for brightening plantings and unifying strong color combinations. Compared to Peach or Lanai® Lilac, White is more neutral, while offering more flexibility than Lanai® Scarlet. It lacks drama but excels in function. White is the most important supporting color in the Lanai® lineup.
EnduraScape™ White offers far more landscape persistence, but Lanai® White is better suited to containers. The Lascar™ Series lacks a true white equivalent, giving Lanai® White a unique role. Compared to unpatented Homestead types, White is cleaner and more predictable. Gardeners who rely on white to anchor container designs will find Lanai® White indispensable.
