More About Vinca ‘Titan™ Burgundy’
Vinca ‘Titan™ Burgundy’ is a bold member of the Titan Series, selected for its large flowers, uniform habit, and dependable summer performance. The deep burgundy blooms offer a darker, more dramatic alternative to traditional reds and pinks while maintaining excellent color stability.
Plants form a tidy, mounded shape that stays consistent across plantings, making this variety especially effective for mass beds and structured landscape designs.
Why We Like It (Our Trials)
In trials, ‘Titan™ Burgundy’ maintained strong flowering and clean foliage through prolonged heat and dry conditions. The plants stayed balanced and uniform, even in full-sun exposures where lesser vincas struggle. We rely on it as a rich-color anchor in summer beds when depth and contrast are needed without sacrificing performance.
Titan™ Burgundy vs. Other Vinca
Titan™ Burgundy is the darkest and most dramatic color in the Titan™ Series, bringing a sense of depth and sophistication to summer plantings. Compared to Titan™ Cranberry, it leans into deeper wine tones rather than bright red, giving it a richer, more grounded presence. Against Titan™ Really Red, it feels moodier and more refined, trading bold intensity for nuance and depth. The saturated color adds visual weight to mixed beds and helps anchor lighter hues nearby. Because of this, it functions best as a contrast element rather than a background filler.
Compared to the Cora® Series, Titan™ Burgundy delivers noticeably larger blooms and stronger visual impact than most Cora® dark-toned selections, which tend to read flatter when planted in mass. The closest Cora® comparison is Cora® Deep Rose, but it lacks the same depth and richness under full sun. Titan™ Burgundy holds its color more confidently in high light and heat. As a gardener, I use Titan™ Burgundy when I want weight, contrast, and a touch of drama in a planting.
