More About Petunia ‘Supertunia Vista® Jazzberry™’

Petunia ‘Supertunia Vista® Jazzberry™’ is famous for its explosive growth and nonstop bloom, producing a sea of bright magenta-pink flowers from late spring until frost. This variety was bred for landscape-scale performance, quickly filling large areas with color and maintaining flower coverage even in extreme summer heat.

The blooms are self-cleaning and continuously produced, eliminating the need for deadheading. The plant spreads aggressively in a controlled, uniform way, making it ideal for high-impact displays.

Why We Like It (Our Trials)

In our trials, ‘Vista® Jazzberry™’ has been a workhorse performer, thriving in full sun, heat, humidity, and less-than-perfect conditions. It rebounds quickly after stress and continues flowering when many annuals slow down.

We especially appreciate its landscape power. Few annuals can match its ability to cover ground, spill from large containers, and deliver consistent color across an entire season.

Supertunia Vista® Jazzberry™ vs. Other Petunias

Within the Supertunia Vista® group, Jazzberry™ brings depth and saturation rather than brightness. The rich magenta-purple tone gives it more visual weight than Vista® Bubblegum or Fuchsia. It still spreads just as aggressively, but the darker color grounds the planting instead of lifting it. Against Vista® Silverberry, Jazzberry feels heavier and more floral, while Silverberry leans textural. This is a Supertunia Vista® with an attitude.

Against standard Supertunias, Jazzberry quickly asserts dominance. It outgrows compact and mounded types and turns mixed plantings into monocultures if given the chance. This is why it shines best in mass plantings. Compared with Crazytunia® Black & White, Jazzberry abandons contrast in favor of saturation. Crazytunias invite inspection; Jazzberry delivers atmosphere. It’s less conversation, more statement. Vista® Jazzberry™ is best used when you want bold, immersive color at scale—plant it in masses and let it create atmosphere rather than trying to mix it delicately with smaller, detail-driven varieties.
