More About Petunia ‘Supertunia Vista® Silverberry’

Petunia ‘Supertunia Vista® Silverberry’ offers a cool, refined color palette, featuring soft silver-lavender blooms with lighter centers that read almost pastel from a distance. The color provides a calming contrast to brighter Vista® varieties while still delivering the same high-impact coverage and performance.

As a member of the Vista® series, this variety is bred for landscape-scale vigor, quickly filling large areas with color and maintaining dense flower coverage through heat, humidity, and long summer days. Flowers are self-cleaning, ensuring continuous bloom without deadheading.

Why We Like It (Our Trials)

In our trials, ‘Vista® Silverberry’ has been a reliable, season-long performer, holding its cool tones well without washing out in full sun. It spreads uniformly, rebounds quickly after stress, and continues flowering aggressively into late summer.

We especially appreciate its design versatility. The softer color works beautifully as a blending plant in mass plantings, pairs effortlessly with whites, pinks, purples, and chartreuse foliage, and provides visual relief among bolder hues.

Supertunia® Vista® Silverberry vs. Other Petunias

Vista® Silverberry is the most foliage-forward Vista, and that’s exactly what makes it valuable. The soft pink blooms are secondary to the silvery-white leaf margins, which add brightness even when flowers pause. It spreads just as aggressively as the others but reads calmer and more balanced. This is the Vista for designers who want scale without chaos. Compared with Vista® Bubblegum, Silverberry feels cooler and more refined. Against Vista® Fuchsia, it offers relief rather than intensity. Compared to Vista® Jazzberry, it lightens the planting instead of anchoring it. Same muscle, different temperament.

Rather than leaning into playful contrast like Crazytunias, Silverberry excels at scale, bringing structure and cohesion where others focus on decoration. Crazytunias add personality through pattern, but Silverberry organizes space and carries a planting visually from edge to edge. Painted Love™ Purple by contrast, is all about bloom-level artistry—soft blending in one case, bold patterning in the other—best appreciated up close. Gardeners can rely on Silverberry to build the framework, then layers in Painted Love or Queen of Hearts to add personality and finish the design.
